Tom Jennings (Ph.D. ’93 Higher Ed) continues to live in Tallahassee, Fla., and serve Florida State University as Vice President for University Advancement, and president of the FSU Foundation. Jennings also was recently appointed as president of the FSU Real Estate Foundation. In February 2016 he earned a “Stellar Speaker” award for a session he presented at the CASE District III Annual Conference titled “The Business of Higher Education Fundraising.” FSU is in the public phase of a $1 billion, 8-year, comprehensive fundraising campaign, which has achieved nearly 90% of its goal and is ahead of schedule. The 2015-16 fiscal year is already the largest single fundraising total in the University’s 165 year history (Interestingly, Florida State University was founded in 1851 by Thomas Jefferson’s grandson, Francis Wayles Eppes.).
