Kimberly Olsen Hadeed

Kimberly Olsen Hadeed (B.S.Ed. ’10, M.Ed. ’13 Speech Path & Aud) “After graduation I had big plans of working in an inpatient rehab or acute setting; however, those job options in the Charlottesville area were limited in the summer of 2013. I took a CFY at a skilled nursing facility in Lexington, Va., just one hour south of Cville. Although the SNF setting was not my preferred first job, I am so thankful for the 2 years of experience I gained. As the only speech therapist in the facility, I had no choice but to quickly gain confidence in my skills and clinical decision making. I am now happy to be back in Charlottesville with my new husband and working as a full time ST at U.Va.-HealthSouth. I have had the pleasure of meeting current U.Va. SLP graduate students during their internship semesters and look forward to many more semesters of mentoring students during clinical placements.”
